Stroke center wins grant for garden therapy

Continuing to volunteer at the center after her husband’s death, Kester also started a gardening-therapy program that recently won a grant from the Colorado Garden Show. It’s allowed the center to build raised gardening beds surrounded by concrete sidewalks, making them accessible to those in wheelchairs and offering those who can stand a place to sit when they need rest.
