Tower of the Dead

Castle of Terror – Tower of Dead is open 7 to 10 p.m. for two weekends in a row, Friday and Saturday nights, Oct. 19-20 and Oct. 26-27 at the Town’s Fire Training Tower.

Tickets are $10 and are purchased at the door. Proceeds benefit Fire and Police Youth Explorer Programs.

The haunted house is not recommended for young children, and no child under 13 will be admitted without an adult.

Spooktakular Festival

Saturday, October 27 at Castle Rock Recreation Center

Free Halloween fun for the little ones and families. Includes face painting, jumpy houses, games, crafts and contests. Open to all ages.

Trick or Treat Street

Wednesday, October 31 at Downtown Castle Rock and Festival Park

A great, safe, family trick-or-treating environment going to Downtown merchants. Costume contests and other fun and festivities occur at Festival Park. Brought to you by the Town of Castle Rock and the Downtown Merchants Association.

Celebrate Halloween in Denver with four haunted houses, six live shows and kids treats at Elitch Garden. For the Family we have: Face Your Fears: Kids are invited to face their fears; from spiders, to bats, to other “traditional” monsters. Ghouls Match: Kids will compete through various Halloween themed challenges and activities. Gross Out for Kids: Join the Hip HopSicals in an icky interactive Halloween face-off! White Noise: Park guests will experience EVP (Electronic voice phenomena) and watch in amazement as “real” ghosts appear in the palm of their hand. Trick or Treat Trail: On Saturdays and Sundays from noon-5pm, little ghouls and goblins can trick or treat their way around Startoon Studios!

The Wildlife Experience Trick-or-Treat OFF The Street
Saturday & Sunday, October 29 & 30 10am – 4pm

Creep, crawl or slither into Trick-or-Treat OFF the Street, a Halloween celebration with plenty of ghoulish surprises for children of all ages. This event features a variety of activities including creepy crawly crafts, ghost stories and a haunted graveyard. In honor of the greatest Halloween tradition, more than 15 candy booths will line the museum’s hallways, allowing guests to fill up their bags with candy and spooky toys in a safe, fun environment regardless of weather conditions.

Highlands Ranch:

Welcome to the Backcountry Wilderness Area Haunted Forest, where the darkness of the forest hides what or who is lurking unexpectedly in the shadows. There are no walls to protect you from the horrors that lurk in the trees, and no roof to keep out the howling October winds. Come see if you are brave enough to make it through this forest of fear!

Two nights only: Saturday, October 29 & Monday, October 31

Tickets: $8 in advance; $12 at the event, available at any HRCA Recreation Center. Ticktets are non-refundable. No phone sales. No will call.

Location: Backcountry Wilderness Area, 11033 Monarch Blvd, Highlands Ranch, Rocky Heights Middle School Parking Lot,
.2 miles hike south on the Douglas County East/West Regional Trail.

No wheelchair or stroller access. No dogs allowed.
Recommend 12 and older, parental discretion advised.

Castlerock, Sedalia, and Franktown:

Castle of Terror Haunted House from 7 to 10 p.m. Oct. 21, 22, 28 and 29. It is at the Town’s Fire Training Tower, 333 Malibu Court. This year’s theme is Zombie Town. It is not recommended for young children, and those under 13 will not be admitted without an adult.

Younger ones can enjoy the Oct. 29 Spooktacular festival, where activities will include face painting, jumpy houses, games, crafts and contests. It will run from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Castle Rock Recreation Center, 2301 Woodlands Blvd.

Last, but not least, and appealing to all ages, will be Trick or Treat Street, held in cooperation with the Downtown Alliance. It will feature a costume contest, pumpkin decorating, live music and trick-or-treating.

The festivities will take place between 2 and 5 p.m. on Halloween. Trick-or-treating is at Downtown businesses – look for the orange and black balloons – and the main event is at Festival Park, 300 Second St.
